From the very beginning, Kylia and I knew we wanted a small, intimate wedding. Months after getting engaged in Chicago, we took part in two traditional weddings in close succession. We saw the huge guest lists, the coordination, and at times we saw a stressed-out bride and groom. Most importantly though, we saw a loving and momentous occasion that passed by in the blink of an eye. We thoroughly enjoyed the ceremonies and festivities, but ultimately, we wanted something different for ourselves.
Kylia and I want to take our time and savor our wedding day with you, our closest family and friends! We want it to feel like a relaxing vacation, not just for the bride and groom but for our entire family. We sought scenic views, friendly locals, beautiful architecture, and a special atmosphere for us to make our memories while becoming husband and wife. Eventually, my powers of persuasion and irresistible charm were able to convince Kylia that Porto, Portugal was the location for us.

Our Venue
Av. José Joaquim Ferreira 2000, 4515-462 Melres, Portugal
The venue is called “Quinta Dos Moinhos”, which translates from Portuguese to “Mill Farm”. It is a beautiful and unique family-owned property that was designed and built by the owners two generations ago, a family of engineers and architects. Diogo’s parents were forced to abandon their home in Angola during a political revolution and sought refuge in Portugal. After a lifetime of business success in their new home, Diogo’s father sold all his business assets to build their new family home in Melres: Quinta Dos Moinhos.
Even though our venue cannot accommodate all our guests, we encourage you to stop by before the wedding to visit and enjoy yourselves! There will be great company, a pool, a bar, a pool table, and beautiful views to enjoy!
