Kylia and I found each other on Bumble on December 13th, 2021, and after getting to know each other with some quality virtual conversation, we met in person ten days later. Honest first impressions were as follows:
“Wow, she is insanely cute! and short! her smile lights up the room.”
“Wow he looks like a finance bro.”
after a wonderful first date at top golf we were excited to see each other again after the holidays. We had three dates in close succession and we were effortlessly clicking! Each date was filled with laughs and beautiful, naturally flowing conversation. The hours flew by so quickly a few times that we made it to something I had never heard of before called “last call”.
After two months of dating and getting to know each other: top golf, axe throwing, roller coasters, italian food, drinks, seeing each other’s places and meeting Kylia’s precious Bella Bear, I asked Kylia to be my girlfriend. When she said yes I had a very good feeling that I would never date anyone else ever again.
Kylia introduced me to so much without even having to try. I found her to be utterly captivating - a considerate, warm and beautiful person that draws you in with her kindness and curiosity. Months flew by, and we spent time getting to know each other’s family and friends, growing closer each day.
Eventually I won over Bella Bear too and all the stars were aligning. Kylia introduced me to my favorite and most grateful version of myself, and I have never been happier!
Valentines Day, 30th Birthday party, meeting our families, concerts, out of town adventures, day trips, hikes with Bella, concerts, goat yoga, time in Charlotte, joy rides, making terrariums, ramen, sushi, tiki bars, work dates, apartment hunting. So many good times together! We realized we never wanted them to end.
One evening after date night Kylia and I said we loved each other, and in the same breathe I told her I was going to marry her. I cannot wait to fulfill that promise and make her my wife!
